The 2023 Belvedere Classic Regatta, held on July 15 at the San Francisco Yacht Club in Belvedere, California, celebrated its 15th year by bringing together a diverse fleet of classic yachts and schooners for a spirited day of racing on San Francisco Bay. 

The event commenced under typical summer fog, which later gave way to brilliant sunshine, providing ideal conditions for the participating vessels. Notably, the schooner Brigadoon secured first place in the schooner division. The regatta, part of a broader classic yacht series that includes the Master Mariners Regatta and the Jessica Cup, welcomed a variety of traditional vessels, including Bird boats, Knarrs, Farallone Clippers, and other classic designs. Oriole, a Bird boat, took first in the Classic Yacht Non-Schooner division.

The day's activities concluded with a festive gathering at the SFYC clubhouse, featuring live music, a barbecue, and a display of classic cars, fostering a strong sense of community among classic sailing enthusiasts. ​
